Maestro Joel Revzen, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor for SummerFest Concerts has partnered with Lake Tahoe SummerFest to present a variety of concerts of high artistic quality, performed at the very highest level, by musicians of international stature. In this capacity, he serves as an advocate for classical music and model for gifted and talented future musicians.
SummerFest Concerts, our signature program, features renowned soloists and exceptional musicians of the Lake Tahoe SummerFest Orchestra, drawn from the New York Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony and other exceptional orchestras throughout the world.
Through concerts, commissions, and educational events, SummerFest Concerts promotes understanding of, enthusiasm for, and participation in classical music as a living art form.
Lynn Gillette, Ph.D., President of Sierra Nevada College, is looking at options for collaboration with the college's fine arts programs and events as an opportunity to cultivate additional art and societal experiences that enhance the mission and core themes of Sierra Nevada College:

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival’s board of directors and staff has connected with Lake Tahoe SummerFest to increase cultural tourism and economic development of the Lake Tahoe Basin. With our partnership, together we can continue to create and present theatrical performances of the highest quality for the cultural benefit and enjoyment of all residents and visitors to our region. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival strives “to plan, produce, and advocate the finest cultural events at Lake Tahoe while educating future generations on the importance of including theatre, music, and art in their everyday lives.”
