A volunteer Board of Directors comprised of individuals from the public and private sectors leads Lake Tahoe SummerFest. The Board of Directors is responsible for governance over the business affairs and property of Lake Tahoe SummerFest. They also provide counsel to the Artistic Director of SummerFest Concerts.
The Board of Directors meets eight times per year and its Board Committees meet regularly to thoroughly discuss and resolve the key issues that face the organization on a year-round basis. All Directors on the Board are requested to "give or get" a minimum of $10,000 annually.
The critical focus of the Board of Directors is: alighment on the mission, vision and goals of Lake Tahoe SummerFest; leadership development to successfully accomplish the mission, vision and goals; raise the necessary funds to implement the mission, vision and goals; and assure that Lake Tahoe SummerFest Concert audiences experience the transformative power of classical music.
